That thing is snazzy. D8
I prefer making characters for stories. I rarely make characters knowing they'll be a 'roleplay character' (apparently with the exception of my XXitsune characters?). I dunno, something about that bothers me and I can't tell why.
I like unicorns a lot they are my friends. I also like unideer.

I personally don't like roleplaying at all and I never/veryrarely make up characters for no reason, especially not by myself :B but that's just me, I find it uncomfortable and hard trying to make up someone else's mind

Well, you know I rarely make characters. They sort of just.. show up. xD The line between characters and imaginary friends can be pretty thin for me sometimes, anyways. Like, say, with Fall, Sunny, or Fear.
Generally one just comes along on a muse and I talk with them to get to know them better. Sometimes they stick around and sometimes they don't.
Actually, some of my strongest ( personality wise ) characters have come from dreams. O: Like Cody!

So, most of you make/get characters rarely and for non-roleplaying reasons.. owo Sounds actually like most of my characters in the sense of that they're for stories. Most of my 300-someodd characters are almost all just story characters... and most of them I didn't make up. Like Kat, most of them showed up. The ones I have actually "made" are specifically for roleplays. o3o
@ Kitty - 'Tis understandable.
@ Vittring - I suppose that depends on how you roleplay. My characters decide for themselves what they do and I just record it, really. owo
@ Kat - Penis, and I've never had a dream character because my dreams frighten me. ):

Well, you know I rarely make characters. They sort of just.. show up. xD I often start making a character, and then they wind up taking form and telling me the rest. I've had characters that introduced themselves before (Thoriane, Phoenix, Set, and Saiph spring to mind), but usually it's more like "Hmm, I need a character for this purpose. I guess they could look like this and--" and then they start going off on their own soon after that. :3

That's amazing, I wish I had that ability o^o to just.. let characters create themselves, I mean.. or just.. well... everything I feel it's really really hard and it takes effirt to try to come up with something.. and since it never comes naturally to me it never turns out any good either
only "character" I have that I use is SDC and he came to me in a dream too xD;;
